ENGINE 3

Hollis E-3 @ Station
2
Hollis Engine 3 is a 2006 E-One on a Freightliner chassis that
was added to our apparatus fleet in February 2007, ordered by
Chief Davis. Engine 3 is the first due engine out of Station 2
for the Town of Hollis on all fire emergency calls. This truck
is capable of pumping 1,250 gallons of water per minute and has
1,250 gallons of water on board, along with 40 gallons of Class
A foam. Engine 3 is a multi-purpose piece of apparatus due to
the amount of water it carries on board; Engine 3 is classified
as a “tanker” and can be used as both an engine and a tanker,
and is still a front line piece of apparatus. Engine 3 is
capable of carrying 3 firefighters and is capable of making an
initial fire attack, being the first arriving apparatus on the
fire scene. As with all our other pieces of apparatus, Engine 3
carries medical equipment, including an AED to respond to
medical emergency calls.
