TANK 1

Hollis TANK 1 @
Station 1
Hollis Tank 1 is a 1989 FMC on an
International chassis that was built in Florida especially for
the Hollis, Maine Fire Department. Tank trucks are designed to
carry large amounts of water to assist in water supply at fires
and are mainly used for rural fire departments where hydrants
aren’t as readily available. Tank 1 is capable of pumping 1,250
gallons of water per minute and has 2,500 gallons of water on
board. Tank 1’s primary job is to shuttle water from the
hydrant/water source to the fire scene and pump the water to the
engines attacking the fire. Tank 1 is a large asset to Hollis
Fire-Rescue and surrounding communities when large amounts of
water are needed
